Job Duties: Veterinary Post Mortem Assistant required in Omagh, permanent opportunity.Your new company is a highly innovative research and development facility in Northern Ireland which works both on a local and global scale with Government departments, public bodies and the food industry. This company prides itself on using the best scientific technologies and they are even one the most modern research institutes in Europe.You will be responsible for a range of duties including the following:Assisting with the unloading, preparation and sampling of animal carcasses.Controlling and maintaining the stock levels for consumables.Safely assisting live animals while in the companies care.Administration tasks including recording, packaging, labelling and dispatching of goods.Accurately maintaining laboratory records.

Qualifications / Experience: A sustainable candidate would have the following:5 GCSEs/O levels including Maths and English (or equivalent formal qualification).Minimum of 6 months experience in a laboratory environment/animal dissection is beneficial.Full driving licence and own transport required.Within this role there is a 12 month probation period where you will get paid a competitive annual salary with 37 working hours on a weekly basis and a permanent position is available for the right candidate. You will also have an annual leave allowance of 25 days and be provided with full training to carry out all the duties required. This job is a varied role where every day is different and it will be a fast paced environment, although it is an opportunity for someone who is looking to make a worthwhile difference while working with a local reputable company.
