Job Duties: Be proficient in and participate in the preparation, checking, washing, inspection, packaging and sterilising of comprehensive sets of instruments or endoscopes in accordance with departmental policies and standard operational procedures.Prepare reusable medical devices for decontamination in line with manufacturer's instructions. Liaising with both external service providers and company representatives as necessary.Oversee decontamination processes both internal and external to the decontamination services.
Qualifications / Experience: Have 2 years' experience as a Band 3 ATO in the Decontamination service within a hospital setting AND Have successfully undertaken and completed the decontamination service bespoke departmental 24 month training programme / professional development programme as required to meet the service needKnowledge of environmental and machine testing
