Job Duties: The Role:Working within the isotope chemistry laboratories, within our Almac Sciences Business unit, the post holder will support the daily, efficient running of the Laboratories. This includes ensuring that our housekeeping is kept to a high standard and assisting with radioactive waste management/ radiation safety duties.Laboratory assistants are responsible for ensuring the labs are well stocked with glassware, consumables, as well as solvents and reagents. They also help with the calibration of key equipment, in accordance with GMP procedures (e.g. weighing balances). The post holder will be responsible for compiling and reporting data from the Eurotherm temperature monitoring system.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:GCSE (or equivalent) Grades A- C, in Mathematics, English Language and a Science SubjectOrSignificant experience within in a laboratory environment may be considered in lieu of educational qualification.Experience in a support role, within a regulated environment.Desirable Criteria (The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exists):AS/A-level (or equivalent) Grades A- C in Chemistry.Level 4 Qualification in a Science related discipline, with a chemistry competent.Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice.Significant experience in a laboratory support role.
