Job Duties: The Music therapist will be required to facilitate a minimum of two 12-week music programmes in one year as well as individual music therapy for a limited number of children who may, for various reasons, be unable to participate in a group session. The music therapist should be compassionate and be able to utilize music and psychotherapeutic techniques to help children with autism improve their emotional wellness, communication and social skills. The Music therapist's responsibilities include initial assessment, programme design and delivery, monitoring and evaluating children's development across the programme and reporting back findings to the COS Project Coordinator.

Qualifications / Experience: The successful applicant(s) will:Hold a recognised music qualification Degree/Postgraduate Diploma/Masters or equivalent.Be Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered.Have previous experience in working with children and young people with disabilities (experience working with autistic children would be beneficial).Have a good understanding of the issues that affect children with autism.Plan and deliver therapeutic music interventions in group settings and individual therapy sessions through various types of music.
