Job Duties: A person appointed Vice Principal in a school, in addition to carrying out the professional duties of a teacher, shall play a major role under the overall direction of the principal.See job information pack for further details.

Qualifications / Experience: Hold a teaching qualification which meets the requirements for recognition to teach in grant-aided schools in Northern Ireland. Have a minimum of 6 years' post qualification teaching experience in primary education within the last 11 years. Currently hold or have held for a minimum of 3 years and within the last 8 years:A post with experience of leading or co-ordinating a whole primary school area to include whole primary school monitoring and evaluating to promote school improvement; and/orA promoted post of at least Teaching Allowance *1 (for at least one year); and/orA post of Principal or Vice-Principal (may be in an acting capacity for at least a six month period).
