Job Duties: As a member of the Colleges Leadership & Management Team, the post-holder will be responsible for supporting the Head of Curriculum and Operations in ensuring that the Colleges curriculum provision reflects the strategic direction and mission of the College. The Head of Department will have direct responsibility for leading the strategic and operational development of Curriculum areas falling under their responsibility, including outreach programmes and Essential Skills. The Head of Department will also have overall budgetary responsibility for the Department (via the current delegated budget model) and managing the PL - Deputy Head of Department across a range of responsibilities including curriculum planning, quality improvement, budget commissioning, staff utilisation, data management, resource management and overall department performance.

Qualifications / Experience: Have GCSE English (Grade A-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Communication and GCSE Maths (Grade A-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy or NICATS Access Maths Modules, or any qualifications which are deemed to be equivalentAND Hold a University Degree or equivalent qualification in an area of curriculum offered by the CollegeORHave at least a level 5 qualification in an area of curriculum offered by the College and have at least three years post qualification industrial, professional or teaching experienceANDHold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education or equivalent qualification recognised for teaching in the Northern Ireland FE Sector or be currently registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI)Full criteria available on https://nwrc.getgotjobs.co.uk/
