Job Duties: To teach Meat & Poultry NVQs and qualifications to learners of all ages at Levels 2 & 3 both in a classroom based setting and the workplace.To participate actively in the monitoring and assessment of learners.You will be expected to assess learner's skills and knowledge, as well as providing one to one feedback to improve performance.To complete required paperwork including assessment plans and monitoring reviews to a high standard. Each learner is required to complete a portfolio of evidence which you are expected to mark and assess. You are expected to teach learners with a range of abilities including those where English is not a first language and must be able to provide teaching and learning resources suited to each individual.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in meat and poultry industry skills or equivalent.Have 5+ years experience in the Meat & Poultry industry,GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Ability to meet deadlines.Ability to work flexibly and effectively as a member of a team.Ability to work on own initiative.Desirable Criteria:Hold a recognised Assessors Award / Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (D33 / A1).Be an experienced assessor of vocational qualifications.Have experience in delivering NVQs and other components of an Apprenticeship.Level 4 Certificate in Teaching / PGCE or equivalent.Ability to utilise ICT.
