Job Duties: The Macmillan Move More Coordinator will lead on the development, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Move More Newry, Mourne and Down.This role will be responsible for implementing the Macmillan Physical Activity Behaviour Change Care Pathway, ensuring that people living with and beyond cancer are aware of the benefits of physical activity, that they are provided with the support and encouragement required to develop and sustain an active lifestyle, and that a diverse menu of appropriate and high quality physical activity opportunities are accessible for people living with and beyond cancer in the Newry, Mourne and Down area.
Qualifications / Experience: Have a Level 4 qualification in Exercise & Cancer Rehabilitation or equivalent qualification OR have a minimum of a level 2 REPS accredited fitness qualification or equivalent.1 years experience in: Planning, managing and monitoring projects aimed at improving health outcomes for participants. Experience of engaging with key stakeholders in the development of physical activity programmes and/or health initiatives. Supporting, encouraging and motivating individuals and / or groups to initiate and sustain an active lifestyle.Experience of keeping accurate records and writing reports.Demonstrate an understanding of the benefits of physical activity for people living with and beyond cancer.Competence in use of e-mail and Microsoft office applications including word, excel and powerpoint.Hold a full current driving licence and access to transport, or access to transport to meet the requirements of the post.Ability to work outside of normal office hours.
