Job Duties: Barnardo's is the lead body for the co-ordination of the Outer South and East Belfast Family Support HubFamily Support Hubs function across the NI region to offer family support to families at the earliest stage. Each Family Support Hub is a group of organisations including community, voluntary and statutory services that work with children and young people.Outer South and East Belfast Family Support Hub links children aged 0-18 years to early intervention family support services to improve outcomes for children and young people.The Family Support Hub Co-ordinator will respond to families requesting a service, listen to their needs and, with the support of Hub members, access services that best suits the family requirements. This post involves speaking with families, identifying appropriate services, linking with Hub member organisations. You will be responsible for the administration of processing these service requests.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria - to be assessed at shortlisting.Relevant qualification to Level 5 - NVQ, BTec, Foundation degree, Dip HE or equivalent in Teaching, Social work, Youth and Community Work, Community Development, CCLD, Early Childhood, Nursing, Health and Social care.Demonstrable experience in delivering family support services, for example parenting advice, home visiting, family group conferencing, family case work, parenting programmes, mentoring, youth work to include links with parents.Demonstrable experience of managing safeguarding and assessing risk and thresholds.Demonstrable experience of administration such as maintaining records, preparing reports and the use of IT systems, such as Word and Excel.
