Job Duties: The post holder will be involved in the planning and implementation of youth work programmes within Londonderry YMCA Ltd youth programmes to develop young people's social education. The post holder will work directly with young people in the evening youth club provision under the direction of the Full time Youth Worker. Posts involving work in the educational institutions are subject to the provision of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order 2007. The successful applicant will be required to have an enhancement disclosure check before commencement of job.

Qualifications / Experience: OCN Level 3 Youth Work Qualification, equivalent or above Have 2 years paid experience in a youth work or childcare setting Or OCN Level 2 Youth Work Qualification or equivalent, Have 3 years paid experience in a youth work or childcare setting Or Level 3 Certificate in Playworker, Have 2 years paid experience in a youth work or childcare settingProvide evidence of having delivered and developed programmes within the NI Youth Work Curriculum. Be familiar with current issues facing young people and the support they requireThe successful candidates will be required to work within the aims and objectives of the YMCA Youth Programme.
