Job Duties: Acute exacerbations of chronic lung disease place a significant burden on acute hospital services. The Northern Health and Social Care Trust aim to continue to develop an integrated respiratory service. At the core is the philosophy of patient centred care. The service will aim to provide high quality care, equality of care for all respiratory patients with irrespective of the day of the week they are admitted, ease of access to appropriate care, improved patient information and communication with primary care. It is anticipated this approach will reduce hospital length of stay and improve respiratory outcomes.

Qualifications / Experience: Membership of Royal College of Physicians United Kingdom / Ireland or equivalent qualification / training. Full registration or eligibility for registration (must be registered at time of appointment) with the General Medical Council (GMC), London and a License to PracticeEntry on the GMC Specialist Register for General Medicine and Respiratory Medicine via:-CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview date)CESR OrEuropean Community Rights
