Job Duties: As the Housing Support Worker, you will provide support and assistance to older people to maintain their housing and standard of living, to continue to live as independently in the community as safely as possible. You will deliver high-quality housing support services including the assessment and development of support plans to ensure that they directly reflect the specific needs of the individualKey responsibilities of this role are:Providing 1-1 supportDevelop and review action plansProvide practical, hands-on support and be skilled in motivating others to manage budgeting, cleaning, cooking, decorating etc.Support to move and set up homes and sustain tenanciesDeveloping effective working relationshipsProblem solvingAdvocacyHave full autonomy in planning your working dayProvide accurate detailed reports
Qualifications / Experience: Passionate about what you do and motivated to make a differenceAbility to communicate at all levels to form professional yet supportive relationships with service users, their representatives, and the wider communityAbility to adapt existing skills and experience in social and/or community care to new situations and environments where no two days are the sameWell organised and effective at managing conflicting prioritiesBe resilient and forward thinking to solve problems efficientlyBe a team player, understand team objectives and how your own work relates to achieving theseDemonstrated IT literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareA full UK driving licence
