Job Duties: The post holder will professionally accountable to the head of Pharmacy and Medicines Management who will agree objectives with the post holder and the Assistant Director, Healthcare in Prisons. The post holder will ensure that the needs of people in prison are met in an evidence based way and are in accordance with the Royal Pharmaceutical Societys Professional Standards for optimising medicines for people in secure environments, NICE guideline NG57 Physical health of people in prison and other relevant requirements such as Trust and professional standards and guidelines.

Qualifications / Experience: MPharm or equivalent and eligible to register with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI)Minimum of 7 years post registration experience If hospital based, must have a minimum of 3 years experience at AfC band 8a or above which includes managing a teamCommunity and primary care pharmacists will be considered if they have evidence of managing a team/service for a minimum of 3 yearsMinimum of a post graduate masters in relevant area of pharmacyProven management experience Independent prescriber or willing to attain qualification within 2 years of appointment
