Job Duties: This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic team member to gain experience in a busy modern purpose-built facility. The post-holder will provide a level of service appropriate to the Specialty Doctor and work as part of a two-tier anaesthetic service with Consultant supervision. The appointment will be for 12 PAs, this includes resident anaesthetic out of hours cover on a 1in 7 rota and prospective cover for leave. This post supports a planned expansion from the current 1 in 6 on-call arrangement.

Qualifications / Experience: Hold full registration or be eligible for registration (must be registered and hold a license to practice at time of appointment) with the General Medical Council (GMC) LondonHave at least 4 years full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) at least 3 of which will be in a specialty training programme or as a fixed term Specialty trainee in anaesthetics:OrHave equivalent experience and competenciesDesirable: It is desirable that candidatesHold a higher diploma e.g. FRCA, FCARCSIHold ALS certificationHave some training in teaching methodsHave experience of obstetric, paediatric and adult Anaesthesia and Intensive careFor full list of qualifications please see job specification
