Job Duties: The ENGAGE Project Leader will lead on the development and delivery of the ENGAGE project, including leading the staff/volunteer team and the implementation of HFT's policies. They will specifically engage with young people, aged 12-25 years, over a sustained period of time, who are:At higher risk of being drawn into paramilitary activity or groupsAt risk or have been impacted by paramilitary violence directly or their peers and/or family members have.They will play a leading role in building significant relationships with this range of young people through Youth Work Programmes, group work, one-to-ones (mentoring), physical activities and online provision.Key responsibilities include: Coordinate and lead the development, facilitation and implementation of a programme specifically for young people at risk of paramilitary activity that builds resilience and awareness of risk factors.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential qualifications & training criteria for the post includes: 3 years' experience in a paid capacity of working with and building relationships with at-risk young people aged 12-25 years old, within the last 5 years. Degree level qualification in youth work or relevant field. Up to date First Aid Training and Child Protection Training.(Further details are available in the Personnel Specification for this role)
