Job Duties: The employer is: THE RAINBOW PROJECT.To support the delivery of OUT North West, a health and wellbeing programme for young LGBTQIA+ people from the North West.The Youth Support Worker will be responsible for:Recruitment of young LGBTQIA+ people to a health and wellbeing programme.Planning and delivery of a health and wellbeing programme for young LGBTQIA+ people. Providing mentoring for young LGBTQIA+ people.Working within our Safeguarding policies and procedures - designing and completing monitoring and evaluation forms with all young people participating on the programme. Completing health and wellbeing baseline assessments with all new young people registering on the programme and signposting to relevant programmes and organisations for additional support. Design, plan and deliver a cross community and cross border consultation with young LGBTQIA+ young people.You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential: OCN Qualification in Youth Work.Or:Have at least one 1 year's experience working or volunteering within a youth work setting. A knowledge of the needs of young LGBTQIA+ people including the barriers and issues they face.Desirable:Good communication skills.Experience of working with young LGBTQIA+ people.Desire to contribute to the positive wellbeing of young people.Desire to learn, build skills and develop in a supportive and friendly workspace.
