Job Duties: Assesses organisational and programme needs to determine number and range of volunteers needed for particular projects.Collect information on availabilities and skills required.Consults with colleagues to create descriptions for all volunteer positions.Manages volunteer recruitment and hiring process by advertising for available volunteer positions, meeting candidates, and matching them with appropriate roles. Prepares induction and orientation materials for new volunteers, including handbooks and programmes.Inducts all new volunteers, introducing them to the organisation and ensuring each new volunteer is clear about their role and their responsibilities. Accompanies volunteers to induct them into their placements. Coach and support volunteers during their appointments and sessions.Arrange for appropriate training when needed.Co-ordinates rotas for volunteers.Monitors volunteers.
Qualifications / Experience: EssentialBe able to demonstrate at least 6 months' practical experience of working in a supervisory role involving organisational, planning, coordination and scheduling skills.Experience in volunteering and an understanding of how volunteering works well.Working knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel and ability to present figures.Be able to demonstrate leading and motivating a team. Excellent written and verbal communication.Be able to demonstrate administrative and management, leadership and decision making skills.Please see application form for list of qualifications, skills and experience.
