Job Duties: The Floating Support Officer will be responsible for ensuring that women living in the community who are/have experienced domestic violence receive an effective and appropriate support and housing management services.Key Responsibilities:Provide support which enables women who have experienced domestic violence to obtain or sustain tenancies; including resettlement support for those moving on from Refuge.Help to develop good working relationships with all statutory and voluntary organisations and housing providers both public and private.Enable women to develop the skills and confidence to manage their tenancies.Provide a range of support services to assist women in ensuring their own safety and maintaining their independence including; advocacy, emotional support, risk assessment and safety planning, personal development work, and support to access and work with statutory agencies. Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:NVQ level II/minimum 5 GCSE/O levels at grades A-C (to include Maths and English) withAt least 2 years in the past 5 years previous full-time experience of working in a supportive role with vulnerable adults/families within a residential or community-based environment (or part time equivalent).OrNVQ Level III/minimum 2 A levels at grades A-C or higher/equivalent withAt least 1 year in the last 3 years previous full-time experience of working in a supportive role with vulnerable adults/families within residential or community-based environment (or part time equivalent).OrSocial Work Degree withAt least 6 months in the last 2 years full-time experience of working in a supportive role with vulnerable adults/families within residential or community-based environment (or part time equivalent).
