Job Duties: This Consultant Physician replacement post is intended to strengthen the role of Care of the Elderly Medicine in meeting the challenges of increasing numbers of frail elderly people presenting to secondary care services with acute and complex illness. The appointee will be expected to assist colleagues in providing early comprehensive geriatric assessment and rehabilitation to such patients in addition to 24 hour stroke thrombolysis and TIA service, Currently newly established Geriatrician led Parkinsons service and Memory service Antrim Area HospitalFor Full List of job duties please see job description

Qualifications / Experience: Membership of Royal College of Physicians United Kingdom/Ireland or equivalent Qualification or training. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for General Medicine and Care of the Elderly Via:- CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview date), CESR or European Community Rights. Full registration or eligibility for registration (must be registered at time of appointment) with General Medical Council (GMC London) and a License to practice.Foe full list of qualifications please see job specification
