Job Duties: Assume overall responsibility for Health and Safety issues including, but not limited to, developing, implementing, and maintaining the company Health & Safety Policy and ensuring all legislative requirements are met. Develop and maintain risk assessment documentation and ensure all assessments are updated regularly. Instigate and monitor the training of all company staff in required Health & Safety issues. Ensure a safe workplace through the monitoring and maintenance of fire alarms, fire extinguishers, plant and equipment, etc. Ensure effective accident prevention and reporting system and assume the lead role in all accident investigations. Prepare all necessary documentation and reporting associated with areas of responsibility. Qualifications / Experience: Essential criteria|:Interest in health & safety.Willing to study for NEBOSH Qualification at Certificate or Diploma level.Minimum of 6-12 months experience in different aspects of health and safety within an organisation.Evidence of excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Good communication skills, both oral and written.Proven ability to lead and motivate staff.Computer literate.Evidence of a results-focused approach to duties, with proven ability to work on own initiative.Willing to travel and able to work flexible hours when required.Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.Desirable criteria:NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma, General or Construction.Construction and / or stone industry experience.Experience in conducting risk assessments, arranging / conducting health & safety training.Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development.Hold a CSR card.Hold relevant industry training qualifications.
