Job Duties: To work closely with Looked After Children and Family Intervention Teams, the EITP Improving Educational Outcomes for Looked After Children Project and schools to identify all children who require a Personal Education Plan.To contribute towards improved educational outcomes through the provision of support, advice and guidance to social work staff on the completion of PEPs which address individual learning needs and any additional needs identified and are aimed at improving the educational attainment of looked after children and supporting their progression in education.

Qualifications / Experience: Hold a relevant Degree or equivalent / higher plus one year's experience in a paid capacity to encompass extensive knowledge of the NI Curriculum and the Education Authority structures and functions associated with supporting young people in the primary education systemOrHNC / HND / qualification or equivalent / higher and 2 years experience in a paid capacity to encompass extensive knowledge of the NI Curriculum and the Education Authority structures and functions associated with supporting young people in the primary education system.Please visit www.jobs.hscni.net to see Job Description and Personnel Specification.
