Job Duties: The postholder will work on energy and benefits advice projects for Bryson Energy. They will be primarily work on two programmes: 'For Your Benefit' on behalf of Power NI and the benefits advice programme as part of the 'Bryson Model'. 'For Your Benefit' provides Power NI customers with tailored energy, benefits and budgeting advice, alongside follow up support as required. The advice is currently completed primarily by telephone, but there is provision for the advice to completed in the home, or within a drop-in advice centre as appropriate. The 'Bryson Model' combines Bryson Charitable Group's scale, skills and experience to target geographic areas with high levels of multiple deprivation to work with community leaders, individuals and families to maximise their potential, and that of their surrounding environment. As part of this, benefits and budgeting advice will be offered to participants.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:OCN Level 3 - Welfare Rights Adviser Programme (WRAP) or similar qualification.Minimum 2 years' experience in providing welfare rights advice (in the last 5 years).Experience in using Microsoft Office, Excel and Benefit Assessment software.Desirable Criteria:City & Guilds Energy Awareness or similar energy qualification.
