Job Duties: The employer is: COMMUNITY ADVICE LISBURN & CASTLEREAGH.Offering free, confidential, impartial and independent generalist advice to clients during drop in and appointment sessions.Liaise with customers online, via email and telephone.Assist other Advisers when required.Training will be provided.You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential:GCSE in Maths and English, Grade C or above.Ability to work with figures.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.Proficient in IT.Ability to contribute to the work of a team.Understanding of the issues around poverty and the impact on individuals and communities.A commitment to the aims and principles of independent advice provision and its equality and diversity ethos.Willingness to learn and undertake training courses as identified by the employer.Desirable:A recognised adviser training programme e.g. Certificate in Generalist Advice, or Adviser Training Programme provided by Citizens Advice, Law Centre NI or Advice NI within the last year. Third Level Qualification in a relevant area (preferably law or social sciences).Experience of working with the public both face to face and via telephone.Ability to understand complex information and legislation.
