Job Duties: Job Summary:To engage with parents with children who are eligible to participate in the Lifestart Growing Child Programme and Home Visiting Service.To explain, deliver and implement the programme with fidelity within the home setting.To comply with Lifestart regulations and guidelines in relation to the Lifestart programme and service delivery.To liaise with relevant agencies at a local level.To deliver other Lifestart programmes and services based on the Growing Child Programme.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential:A third level qualification in a relevant discipline (social work, education, early years or community development), or 3 years practical experience working in a paid capacity with parents and children.An understanding of the importance of child development during the first three years.Recognition of the importance of the family and the home as the centre of learning during the early years.Experience of working directly with parents.Ability to work on own initiative.Excellent reporting skills.Good IT skills (e.g. Word Processing, Power Point, Excel).Excellent communication and time management skills.Be willing to attend relevant training.Hold a full clean driving licence, have access to a vehicle for work use and be willing to travel throughout Northern Ireland to fulfil programme delivery requirements.Have a good appreciation of cultural differences.
