Job Duties: In MACS Supported Housing Services for Young PeopleMACS are currently recruiting for caring individuals to provide practical support and guidance to assist young people to build the skills and confidence to maintain their own homes.Belfast, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newry Supported Housing Services (Move in to Move On) provide supported housing for young people who are homeless or leaving care to make the transition to interdependent living and their own tenancy. Sessional Workers provide an accessible point of contact on night shifts and weekends to promote the protection and safeguarding of young people living at MACS.PLEASE NOTE THAT SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A MANDATORY TRAINING SESSION ON Saturday 26th February 2022.
Qualifications / Experience: ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:3 months experience paid work or 6 months experience voluntary work of supporting people in a caring role as an employee, volunteer or carer.Understanding and knowledge of homelessness, mental health and substance use.Ability to practice in line with MACS ethos and values.

Other Information: Occasional Shifts. Shift patterns will very in each location (there are typically waking and sleeping shift, early shifts are typically 6pm-6am, late shifts are typically 9pm-9am).Wage: £16,679.52 per annum pro rata.
