Job Duties: The Assistant Team Leader supports the Team Leader to deliver the Prince's Trust 12-week programme (targeting 16 - 30Yrs) in Belfast. Its aim is to build confidence, motivation and skills to help unemployed young people return to education/employment. Assist the Team Leader to deliver x3 12-wk programs per year, meeting Princes Trust formats, standards & requirements. Recruitment young people from the target groups. Support TL to take young people through a range of targets including: retention, qualifications, progression, and outcomes.Assist in gathering information for PT-s Reviews and implementing quality improvement as needed.Support the implementation of funding contracts to ensure requirements and outputs are achieved.Maintain accurate records, paper/electronic, in line with PT data protection policies.Comply with PT policies for working with young people, Safeguarding, Health & Safety etc.Attend all training, meetings as required by the PT.
Qualifications / Experience: Requirements:Level 2 (or equivalent) in English & Numeracy (GCSE or equivalent) and at least 1 years' experience working with young peopleA youth work qualification is desirableDemonstrate a strong understanding of the challenges faced by target groups & local issuesGood planning/organisational skills with ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent interpersonal/verbal communication skillsCan work effectively both independently and as part of a teamStrong commitment to equal opportunities; approachable, open-minded, valuing diversity; someone who can inspire and is passionate about supporting young people.Competencies in the use of IT, Word and Excel, e-mail, internet, social media, accurately with good attention to detail Able to attend meetings/training, which may involve overnight stays, eg Team residentialA clear Enhanced Access NI check
