Job Duties: To improve the lives of people experiencing severe mental health difficulties.To ensure value is placed on the whole person and a strengths-based approach is used which promotes the maximum level of independence, choice and control.To encourage and support active participation of service users underpinned by the Recovery model.To support service users to be more self directing and more engaged with their local community.

Qualifications / Experience: Educated to GCSE level (grades A-C) to include Mathematics and English language (or equivalent).Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 6 months experience of providing support to people with a mental illness either in a paid or voluntary position.ORDemonstrate a minimum of 1 years experience of providing support in a paid or voluntary capacity in another care setting.Able to demonstrate good written communication skills.Willing and able to be adaptable and flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays to meet the needs of the service users and to provide contingency cover for staff sickness and training within the SHSCT areaBe registered with or eligible for registration with NISCCThe successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced with Barred Check
