Job Duties: To work on behalf of BHCP to engage with and ascertain the needs of young people in the Ballymagroarty, Hazelbank and wider area who may or may not be attracted to current provision and develop and co-ordinate a prevention/intervention programme involving young people.To target those who are most marginalised in the area and create a planned, innovative response to their needs in consultation with them.

Qualifications / Experience: Completed Child Protection training within last 2 years.A minimum of 1 year's experience working with young people in a community or youth work setting. A working knowledge, commitment and understanding of the principles of Community Development.Knowledge of funding opportunities in the community/voluntary sector.The ability to work effectively and support partnerships with community, voluntary, statutory and private sectors. Knowledge of statutory and voluntary youth sectors.Ability to work on own initiative as required and an ability to manage time and priorities. An understanding of issues relating to marginalised young people.
