Job Duties: Develop and review the evidence base on the health effects of environmental hazards, particularly on emerging health endpoints and, where possible assessing the health impacts.Surveillance of environmental hazards. Using a range of regional reporting systems for communicable disease, including laboratory reporting, clinical reporting, statutory notification systems and environmental monitoring, maintain oversight on regional data such as on chemicals in Private Water Supplies (PWS) is collected via routine reporting and special epidemiological surveys. Following the analysis of these data, generate reports and disseminate to health professionals for use in maintaining and providing preventative measures. Qualifications / Experience: Relevant Bachelors or Masters qualification in environmental management, environmental science, environmental health or other relevant degree At least 2 years post graduate experience of experience of analytical work in science, public health, epidemiology or a relevant field.Please visit www.jobs.hscni.net to see Job Description and Personnel Specification.
