Job Duties: Ensure the safe and effective coordination and delivery of outdoor learning with specific responsibility for height-based activities.Ensure the development and coordination of the outdoor learning team in meeting the aims of the centre.Coordinate the day to day running of all aspects of the Centre programme including direct line management of the outdoor learning team. Maintain, implement and review effective Health & Safety policies, procedures and systems with regard to Heights-based Activities, including risk management through adherence to health and safety legislative and regulatory requirements.Provide one to one supervision of the outdoor learning team, ensuring objectives are set.Deliver and facilitate centre activities to participants/groups.Coordinate, deliver/source training to the outdoor learning team.Ensure the development and provision of a needs based programme of activities.Maintain health and safety protocols in consultation with senior team.

Qualifications / Experience: 1 NGB Qualification in an outdoor learning related discipline European Ropes Course Association Instructor AwardOrRock Climbing InstructorMinimum of 2 years experience in the development, delivery and supervision of outdoor learning programmes.Experience of supervising staff/volunteersExperience adhering to health and safety requirements in a heights environmentProficiency with IT systems Knowledge of developing outdoor learning programmesKnowledge of current trends and good practice in heights and other outdoor activitiesEffective and efficient record keeping skillsEffective oral and written communication skillsThe ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative.Contribute to and be able to engage in a manner consistent with the vision, mission & values of the YMCA
