Job Duties: Background:The Bryson Model combines Bryson Charitable Group's scale, skills and experience to target geographic areas with high levels of multiple deprivation to work with community leaders, individuals and families to maximise their potential, and that of their surrounding environment.Specific Task:The Parental Growth Worker will deliver a 12 week flexible Thriving Familie's programme within the home or community that meets the identified needs of children, young people and parents/carers. The Parental Growth Worker will take a family centred approach promoting the value of learning as a life skill, helping to build routines, positive behaviour and the resilience to enable them to achieve their full potential. They will also support the family to promote My Health,My Community and `My Environment to actively strengthen the family unit.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:Minimum of QCF Level 3 Child Care qualification or one of the following:Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 3 Children & Young PeopleNVQ Level 3 Children's Care, Learning & DevelopmentCACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care & Education (VRQ)CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Child Care & Education (Wales and NI)BTEC Higher National Diploma in Childcare StudiesBTEC National Diploma in Childcare StudiesDegree in Social WorkAdditional Essential Criteria:5 GCSE's at grade C and above including English LanguageMinimum of 1 years paid employment working with children, young people and families1 year's experience recording and reporting on work doneFull & clean driver's licence and access to a car
