Job Duties: To provide support services to women living in Refuge, who are or who have experienced domestic and sexual violence/abuse.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:To assist in assessing the suitability of women referred to our services.To welcome and integrate women, children and young people into North Down and Ards Women's Aid refuge services.To complete intake process.To identify initial needs of women and children and young people coming into refuge, ensuring their needs are adequately met.Provide initial front-line services via telephone support.To ensure an effective risk management plan is implemented when risk is identified.Arrange weekly house meetings (Agenda & designated minute taker)Ensure the completion of relevant checks and paperwork as and when required in line with the Health and Safety policy & procedures and QMT requirements.

Qualifications / Experience: GCSE (or equivalent) standard of education. A recognised relevant qualification at a minimum of NVQ level 3 (or equivalent). Recent relevant experience providing ongoing individual support for women in a residential or community setting.Experience of working with individuals in crisis.Recent relevant experience of working with individuals with complex needs.Recent relevant experience of working with statutory agencies/community or voluntary agencies.Knowledge and understanding of women and children's issues in the area of domestic and sexual violence/abuse.
