Job Duties: To work as a member of the highly skilled Floating Support / Refuge Team in the delivery of support service for female victims of domestic and sexual violence.To participate in the emergency on-call rota for our safe accommodation and community based services.Full job description available with application form.To comply with the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order 2007 Womens Aid Federation NI is required to explore the successful candidates suitability to work with vulnerable adults & children via ACCESS NI pre-employment screening.
Qualifications / Experience: 3rd Level degree in Social Care or other relevant discipline or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Social Care.Recent experience of providing ongoing individual support for both vulnerable women and children in crisis in a residential or community setting.Experience of working with a diverse range of people of differing needs and abilities.Experience of advocacy work.Experience working with agencies, statutory bodies and community service providers.Experience of Needs & Risk Assessment and Support Planning.Knowledge and /or experience of working with victims of Domestic/Sexual violence is preferable.Please note we reserve the right to enhance the short-listing criteria where and when this is deemed necessary and we will retain a reserve list for the same or similar posts for 12 months.Employment is subject to Pre-Employment Screening checks.
