Job Duties: Assembling, installing, testing and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.Connecting wires to circuit breaks, transformers or other components.Inspecting electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.Advising management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of systemsGeneral housekeeping duties.Ensuring compliance with the Company's policies including Health and Safety.Any other reasonable request made by management.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria: Served a recognised electrical apprenticeship.Part 1 and 2 City and Guilds or equivalent.Hold C and G 2380 (IEE Wiring Regs, 17th Edition).C and G 2391 (Inspection and Testing).Minimum of 3 years' experience of completing electrical repairs and maintenance tasks.Excellent communication and people skills.Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a systematic manner.Be hard working and conscientious using initiative to reach suitable resolutions without constant supervision.The ability to work calmly under pressure.Flexible approach to working hours.Desirable Criteria: Sound knowledge of all electrical works within the field of concrete manufacturing.Hold a valid driving licence.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
