Job Duties: Read and interpret engineer and schematic drawingsCheck design specifications, verifying dimensions to minimize recalls.To prepare, cut, fabricate, layout, fit, position and assemble piping components together in various positions.To use a TIG welder for tacking mind carbon and Stainless steel.To Bolt, clamp and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. To work with and handle large diameter pipe (up to 350mm). Proper identification and use of tools required for tasks (grinder, drills, beveling machine etc)Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its toolingAdhering to assembly safety standards.To clean down tools and equipment after use. Maintain a safe and clean work environment Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications / Experience: Previous experience in preparing, cutting, fabricating, layout, fitting, positioning and assembling piping components together in various positions.Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance experience.Experienced using TIG welder for tacking mind carbon and Stainless steel.Previous experience working with large diameter pipe (up to 350mm)Ability to read prints and construction drawings Ability to read and understand weld symbols, mechanical and structural drawings. Ability to use Oxy/fuel and Plasma hand cutting torch.
