Job Duties: FP McCann is the largest precast manufacturer in the UK and is currently recruiting for a CAD Technician to join our Technical Department. The role will involve the design and detailing of a wide range of precast concrete products and mouldage.The successful candidate will be tasked with:Undertaking CAD drawing and detailing associated with the manufacture of precast products.Producing CAD General Arrangement and Reinforced Concrete details, with associated reinforcement scheduling for projects.Generating production documents for approval and manufacture.Liaising with internal and external clients, contractors and consultants.Ensuring work output conforms to specifications and standard/code requirements.Maintaining project records.Liaising with the factory production teams.Assisting with drawing and technical queries.Keeping up to date technically and applying new knowledge to the job.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:English and Maths equivalent to Grade C or above.Experience in CAD.Good computer skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Excel.Ability to read technical drawings.Exceptional attention to detail.Methodical approach to solving queries.Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently.Ability to work on own initiative but understand level of responsibility within the team.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Ability to interact with a wide range of people including clients, contractors & consultants.Demonstrate the ability to work calmly under pressure.Be highly motivated individual with initiative, self-confidence, with the drive and ability to work under their own direction or within a team of professionals.Be keen to develop their individual capability and career development.
