Job Duties: Reading & interpreting engineering drawingsWelding to a high standard using a three phase MIG welder to manufacture hydraulic cylindersTacking & final welding mild steelOperating workshop machinery (hand power tools)Conducting in-process quality checksWorking to efficiency targetsEngaging with company MRP systemOperating in line with H & S policyMaintaining high levels of housekeeping Any other duties, within reason & capability
Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:Minimum of 2 years welding experienceAbility to read & interpret engineering drawingsDemonstrated ability to consistently produce quality products within a set timescaleExperience working with a variety of powered hand toolsAwareness of H & S relative to the workshop environment Computer literate (basic)Excellent communication skills both verbal & writtenMust be able to demonstrate an excellent timekeeping & attendance recordWillingness to be flexible in accordance with business needsDesirable Criteria:Experience in a precision engineering environmentPrevious pipe welding experienceExperience welding safety critical vesselsRecognised as coded by a relevant awarding bodyKnowledge of welding automation is advantageous but not essential
