Job Duties: Read & interpret engineering drawings to machine tube & rod for the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders.Set up & operate CNC lathes (Fanuc controlled).Conduct basic pre-start maintenance checks.Work in an efficient & effective manner in line with set targets.Engage with company MRP system.Operate a variety of workshop machinery.Conducting quality checks on machined parts.Observe all H & S rules in place.Maintain high levels of housekeeping.Any other duties as required within reason & capability.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.Ability to accurately read & interpret engineering drawings.Experience setting & operating machines with Fanuc controls.Ability to operate independently & to the required efficiency targets.Previous experience of conducting in-process quality checks.Experience of operating workshop machinery.Computer literate (basic).Awareness of relevant H & S standards.Awareness & ability to carry out basic maintenance & housekeeping checks & tasks.Strong communication skills both verbal & written.Excellent numeracy & literacy skills.Desirable Criteria:5 years' + experience in a similar role.Precision engineering experience.Hydraulics sector experience.CNC automation experience is advantageous.
