Job Duties: Reading & interpreting engineering drawingsWelding to a high standard using a three phase MIG welder to manufacture hydraulic cylindersTacking & final welding mild steelOperating workshop machinery (hand power tools)Conducting in-process quality checksWorking to efficiency targetsEngaging with company MRP systemOperating in line with H & S policyMaintaining high levels of housekeeping Any other duties, within reason & capability, as determined by team leader
Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:Minimum of 2 years welding experience (MIG)Ability to accurately interpret Autocad drawingsExperience of welding to a high standard using a three phase MIG welderAbility to tack & final weld steel Experience of operating workshop machineryAbility to work in a meticulous mannerAbility to work within the internal quality system Preparing products for the next stage of the production process Willingness to operate in line with company health & safety policy Ability to consistently work in line with set company efficiency targetsGood communication skills both verbal & writtenWillingness to be flexible in accordance with the business needsStrong numeracy and literacy skillsDesirable Criteria:Welding qualification (NVQ or equivalent)Experience in a precision engineering environmentRecognised as fully coded Knowledge of welding automation processes is advantageous
