Job Duties: Read & interpret engineering drawings to machine tube & rod for the manufacture of hydraulic cylindersSet up & operate CNC lathes (Fanuc controlled)Conduct basic pre-start maintenance checksWork in an efficient & effective manner in line with set targetsEngage with company MRP systemOperate a variety of workshop machineryConducting quality checks on machined partsObserve all H & S rules in placeMaintain high levels of housekeepingAny other duties as required within reason & capability
Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria:Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar roleAbility to accurately read & interpret engineering drawingsExperience setting & operating machines with Fanuc controlsAbility to operate independently & to the required efficiency targetsPrevious experience of conducting in-process quality checksExperience of operating workshop machineryComputer literate (basic)Awareness of relevant H & S standardsAwareness & ability to carry out basic maintenance & housekeeping checks & tasksStrong communication skills both verbal & writtenExcellent numeracy & literacy skillsDemonstrated strong timekeeping & attendance record Desirable Criteria:5 years' + experience in a similar rolePrecision engineering experienceHydraulics sector experienceCNC automation experience is advantageous
