Job Duties: Our Traffic Attendants are the eyes and ears of the local community, patrolling areas, providing advice to residents, and members of the public, whist enforcing road traffic orders and issuing parking fines.You will play a significant role in reducing traffic congestion, and improving air quality through the enforcement of parking restrictions.Your day will be spent, mostly outside, in all weathers, walking up to 10 miles per day, so please consider this before you apply.You will be dealing with members of the public face to face, so customer service must be something you enjoy, sometimes in difficult situations.Full time hours you will be required to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays). Shifts vary so flexibility for the role is essential.

Qualifications / Experience: What you will need:You must enjoy dealing with people, be friendly polite, and willing to offer support, advice and assistance to colleagues and customers.PC skills would also be an advantage, as you will be using a hand held device daily.In return:25 days annual leave.11 bank holidays, 5 of which are operational. If required to work on any of the 5 operational bank holidays you will receive currently £28.86 per hour or the option of time off in lieu.Monday to Friday currently £9.62 per hour.Saturday premium payment. Saturday working attracts an hourly rate currently of £14.43 per hourSunday premium payment. Sundays are worked on a volunteer basis only. Rate of pay for Sunday is currently £19.24 per hour

Other Information: Part time shifts are available and would be based on full days worked for example Mon 08:30-16:54, Wed 09:30-17:54 the number of days worked can be agreed during interview. Two weeks of training (37 hours per week) must be completed when joining.
