Job Duties: Communications Systems Operators are the back bone of the Royal Signals.They will work in any environment, no matter how tough.Their role is to operate mobile communication systems across the battlefield. Training weekends are diverse, the focus could be on our soldiering skills, communication trade skills, a combination of both or adventure training e.g. Climbing, abseiling, skiing, water sports etc.Opportunities exist to take part in almost any sport that appeals to you from Skydiving to Rugby and many more besides.Gain skills in cyber security & qualifications in leadership and management.

Qualifications / Experience: British and Irish citizens are eligible to join the Army Reserve. If you are from the Commonwealth, you must have lived in the UK for 5 years and have indefinite leave to remain or indefinite leave to enter stamped on your passport. To join the Army Reserve and become a Royal Signals Communications Systems Operator, you must pass an Army Medical, physical fitness tests and a psychometric test. These are carried out during a 2-day selection event.We will apply for UKSV (SC) clearance on your behalf. Once granted, you will commence training and then work in a position which involves long-term, frequent and uncontrolled access to SECRET assets.
