Job Duties: Mechanical Design:Assist in creation of design data including Drawings, Calculations, BOM, Equipment Schedules, P & I Diagrams, Control Philosophies and component specifications.Use Solidworks, Draftsight, AutoCAD, FEA software to create designs & fabrication drawings for suppliers.Create installation & assembly drawings for the construction team.Communicate with clients on projects.On occasion attend sites and supplier premises throughout UK & Ireland to ensure quality of components and/or commission installations.Track and monitor information exchanges as per ISO 90001Project Management:Assist in the preparation, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of assigned projectsAssist in the coordination of documentation and/or drawings between various partiesFor full details on the duties and responsibilities of the post please visit our website Careers at Colloide Northern Ireland | Colloide Engineering.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria Hold or expect (by the end of academic year 2022) to gain a 2.1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related subject.Be proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, including the ability to generate complex 3D CAD assemblies and drawings.Ability to use MS Word, Excel, MS ProjectExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to be flexible and adaptable as the role may involve travel, the majority of which will be in the UK and Ireland.A full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.Desirable:Experience working in water & wastewater industries Experience working in fabrication environment. Experience of control panels.
