Job Duties: Design Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:Successful candidate will be required to take measurements of incoming products using various measuring equipment.The role will require the applicant to create 3D models based upon customer's requirements and drafting BOM's from engineering drawings. Models will be drafted to create engineering drawings used in manufacturing in our machine, fabrication, wheels & rollers, and polyurethane departments.Exporting models to CAM software's for CNC machining. In addition, sheet metal models will be exported into DXF files and used in our nesting software.Candidate will be responsible for producing CNC programs for a Hypertherm plasma cutter using SigmaNest, keeping up to date with steel stock and communicating with plasma operator daily.as well as recording how much material is needed,

Qualifications / Experience: Completed or studying a degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering course.Advanced level of Solidworks including 3D modelling, assemblies, drafting and sheet metal.Desirable: Experience in nesting software's for plasma desirable but not essential as training will be provided.Desirable: Experience using Solidworks.Desirable: Experience using FEA within Solidworks.Desirable: Experience using ERP system.
