Job Duties: Through the rigorous application of technical knowledge and experience ensure that products under development reliability, innovativeness and cost.Through contact with Product Managers, customers, engineering professionals and others ensure that the job-holder has sufficient knowledge of product applications, problems and opportunities to ensure the optimisation of design solutions.Contribute to the achievement of product development improvement targets of reduced time to market, reduced cost, trouble-free launch. Contribute to the developing of core engineering skills in MSE by engaging in continued professional development.Adopt the role of product development team leader when required to do so to deliver quality products, on time and to cost.Through the application of conceptual thinking to product development and through research and application of core engineering principles implement innovative and patentable concepts.

Qualifications / Experience: Essential Requirements:Candidates should be educated to Degree level (or equivalent) or above in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering or any related engineering discipline. Experience of design & development of both new & existing products is required together with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Have a good working knowledge of at least one CAD package, preferably Solid Works.Have good working experience of new product development. Demonstrate a high level of integrity and thoroughness in all they do.Display strong interpersonal skills at all levels.Desirable Requirements:Experience of working in a project environment.Knowledge of CAE packages i.e. Moldflow, FEA, Minitab.Be hands-on with good practical skills.Have a logical approach to problem solving.Experience of project management.
