Job Duties: Staff Officers (SOs) support the Deputy Principal lead on informing, developing and delivering key areas of energy policy and delivery. They may work closely with a Deputy Principal to support them in the management of a significant area of energy work.The work of SOs will depend on where they are posted within Energy Group. Qualifications / Experience: Applicants must, by the closing date for applications, have:At least a second-class degree (2:2) in an engineering, energy, environmental sciences, numerate or economics discipline, or in a subject where research, statistics or analysis was a major componentOrAt least 1 year's demonstrable experience of working in an area relevant for energy policy or delivery.In addition, applicants should be aware that after an eligibility sift, should it be necessary to shortlist candidates to go forward to the next stage of selection, the following shortlisting criteria will be used in the order listed:Demonstrable experience in the last 5 years of carrying out research and analysis to draft reports or papers on complex issues for your organisation.
