Job Duties: To assume technical charge of the Blood Bank Department with responsibility for all HCA and BMS staff, including the organisation of out-of-hours rotas, senior and general staff meetings.To understand the principles and have a good working knowledge of all procedures and to reviews, develop and authorise Blood Bank Standard Operating Procedures.Responsible for the supervision, organisation, training, professional standards and education of all Biomedical Scientists and HCAs attached to the department including, if necessary, the training of staffing from other disciplines.Please visit www.jobs.hscni.net to see Job Description and Personnel Specification.
Qualifications / Experience: State Registered Biomedical Scientist with HCPC.A minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory capacity at Advanced BMS/Band 7 level in Blood Bank.Fellowship (IBMS) or MSc or Higher Specialist Diploma (IBMS).Management Qualification (or willingness to undertake such within 2 years of taking up post.Please visit www.jobs.hscni.net to see Job Description and Personnel Specification.
