Job Duties: The employer is: BRITISH RED CROSS SOCIETY.Be familiar with till procedures, operate the till & assist volunteers with till operation.Accept donations from members of the public & assist with carrying to the stock room.Promote Gift Aid to donors & the Red Cross Loyalty card to all customers & donors.Be familiar with the shop stock & actively promote sales of goods.Sorting donated stock & preparing items for display & sale as directed.Assist the Shop Manager with cashing up, banking processes & procedures at the end of the day.Maintaining a tidy & organised stockroom & shop floor.Maintaining the hygiene standards of all work areas; retouching displays, tidying rails & shelves etc.Work with volunteers & other members of staff to deliver excellent customer service to all customers.Making full use of the training, development & accreditation opportunities.Setting three personal development goals.You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.
Qualifications / Experience: Level 2 English and Maths or working towards it.Excellent timekeeping.Contributes to inclusive practice and promotes diversity.DesirableExperience working in a retail environment.Experience with cash handling and reconciliation.
