Job Duties: The employer is: HOME START NEWRY & MOURNE.Ensure adequate staffing at all times.Checking of stock & display of same.Stock replenishment.Inform line manager of necessary repairs & maintenance or equipment in a timely manner.Pricing, replenishing /rotation of stock on a regular basis to maximise income.Promote the shop & sales: using social media (Facebook).Train new shop volunteers.Delegating work to volunteers & organising a volunteer rota.Apply trading standards & legal regulations in the shop & ensure volunteers are aware of these.Act as main key holder.Ensure takings are stored in a regular & appropriate manner.Apply the organisation¿s health and safety policy ensuring that health and safety procedures are understood and implemented by all volunteers.You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.Experience of a retail outlet or other relevant experience.Experience of working with volunteers.Experience of handling cash, till processes and banking.Excellent communication skills.Excellent customer service skills.Good organisational/planning skills.The ability to plan developments/changes accordingly.Knowledge of customer services, principles and practices.Willingness to complete health and safety and other training as required.Willing to attend meetings as required/understand the work and ethos of Home-Start.
