Job Duties: The Employer is: FRIENDS OF CHARIS.Maximise sales.Establish and maintain excellent standards of customer care, quality & service.Be involved in stock control and management.Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for.Being responsible for processing cash and card payments.Stocking shelves with merchandise.Answering queries, dealing with refunds and complaints from customers.Reporting discrepancies and problems to the manager.Balancing cash registers with receipts.Maintaining the hygiene standards of the store.Attaching price tags to merchandise on the shop floor.Responsible for security within the store and being on the lookout for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.Receiving and storing the delivery of large amounts of stock.Be able to cover in times of sickness.Assist with deliveries when necessary.You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.
Qualifications / Experience: Essential:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Time-management and a good working knowledge and understanding of all departments within the shop.Commitment to outstanding customer services and promotion of high standards within the shop.Good understanding of Health & Safety standards.Cash handling experience.Flexibility.Desirable:Good IT and computer Skills.Drivers Licence.Administrative skills to support the smooth running of the shop.Cash flow and budgets.
